Exposed: The Atheist vs Christians FB Group

This article is about my personal journey through the anti-Bible and anti-God atheist group and reading posts to help me understand who atheists truly are. I just thought they were just non-believers of the Holy Bible looking for help in understanding of God’s word. Boy, was I wrong!

Recently, I was reading through some of the atheists post and found this image below that was posted by a Christian. I never knew this existed, but find it to be a perfect description of many atheists.

Love Baiting Christians

It has been very interesting reading the atheist posts and Christian’s responses. I have learned a great deal from both sides and I will explain. However, the one glaring thing is how atheists BAIT Christian’s into responding to their posts. How? By calling God names that the Christians think they need to defend, and also writing that Christian’s are not smart or dumb and many times being called stupid or other derogatory words for their posts.

For the record, Christians, God does not need defending. No matter what people call Him, He will deal with them in His own time.

As I continue to communicate with atheists in Facebook, I am learning more about what makes them tick. Not in a deep sense, but a simple one regarding how they respond to my comments and questions.

Angered At Christians

I have found that atheists are angered by the fact that Christians accept and believe the Bible through simple “faith.” Atheists like to write that Christians do it out of fear and not faith. However, true Christians try to live a righteous life, through love, compassion, hope and faith in Christ Jesus, our Blessed Hope for eternal life.

Fearing The Lord

Atheists who have never read the Bible or do not understand what they read like to make the claim that “If you don’t do what the Bible tells you, you will go to hell.” A foolish and made up by atheists comment. The Bible expressly tells us that avoiding sin and accepting (without punishment) Christ Jesus gives us hope in redemption and hope for a better life even when all round us is coming apart.

Some atheists probably were told the verse “Fear the Lord,” without the full verse, and have no idea what it even means but take those 3 words verbatim. Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, fools despise wisdom and instruction,” and Proverbs 8:13 “the fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.” These are very simple to understand when added to the fear the Lord statement atheists love to use against Christians.

You Are Going To Hell

Some atheists were annoyed because some Christians told them they would go to hell if they didn’t repent and come back to the Christian faith. Personally, I can understand their anger. I was told I would go to hell by a so-called Christian because I was living with my fiance and not married. These so-called Christians do the same thing to other Christians, and should bridle their tongue as mentioned in the Book of James, which they should take the time to read.

To atheists, I will say you should be mad or angry at them, but God didn’t make them say it to you, their lack of knowledge of God’s word led them on the wrong path. Notice I didn’t write that it is the same path as atheists. Why? they choose their own paths with free-will – a God given gift, whether they believe it or not.

REMEMBER, that only the Lord can, and one day will judge Christians and atheists. Matthew 7:1.

Ignoring Faith

I have noticed that atheists seem to be getting some expectation of happiness at name calling. Not all atheists, but many in the group. They will make you think you are not smart because you can’t prove your belief. Atheists toss out faith as meaningless, and will try to convince you that any events or miracles in your personal life were just because it worked out that way.

But, I feel their hidden true goal is to get Christians to leave their faith as they did. I have written several times “Do you have a quota for getting Christians to leave their faith?” Once again, no response. Seems like I am on the right path. I figured, since atheists are angry at religion, they want Christians to be also, and try hard to achieve that goal.

Left Their Faith

An atheist asked me “Why do you waste time with religion?” I wrote that it wasn’t a waste, but a choice, and then I asked “Why do you waste time with atheism” and the comment was “to tell the truth about god not being real.” That sounds like someone who did believe at one time but soured over Christianity and religion because of a problem that caused him, and probably others, as I have written about many times, to leave their weak faith. And, I figured out it is true that atheists have an unknown goal of getting Christians to leave their faith as I mentioned above.

Stuck In The Old Testament

Atheists also like to clump all Christians into the same “time”pile when they comment about killing, child abuse and others things written in the Old Testament. History shows us many thing that happened were due to greed and evil, but atheists like to pin it on God and not evil. Sure things were out of control in the beginning, but it doesn’t seem to have changed much and people are at fault – not God.

Atheists ask why God doesn’t stop evil. I believe it is because of the free-will He has given us, because if God decided to He could just end everything all at once. However, I would not profess to know what God thinks or why bad things happen. Perhaps He wants us to be righteous on our own terms, and eliminate evil from the world. We are His children, and a parent used to reprimand their kids. God does that in His own way since we are His children.

Free Will non-Existent

Atheists have indicated that they don’t believe in free will, and I understand why. They are proud and lovers of themselves. They have remarked that free-will doesn’t exist and they make their own decisions. That confused me. Of course, we make our own decisions. Free-will. That is why we can do good or evil as in Romans 6:15-23

Ignoring Or Not Accepting Evil

And this leads me to the biggest thing left out of the atheists remarks or comments. Evil. They like to make it as though it doesn’t exist and put the blame on Christians directly. There is some truth in blaming Christianity in the past and present because of greed, but not all Christians.

Greed always causes eventual death, and it comes from evil taking charge. Just one simple example in history is Hitler. Yes, he was a Christian, but evil and greed took over and history tells the rest. Of course, atheists think he was a true Christian because they don’t know how evil works, and once again, put it on God.

There are at least 50 verses regarding evil in the Bible that atheists would like to let you know don’t exist.

Prayers Ignored

Other atheists have said they are upset that their prayers were not answered. My comment was, “Did you pray in your heart or what did you pray for?” The response was, as expected, no response. Even Christians claim the same thing that their prayers were not answered. What did they pray for? Money, fame, cars, houses, to win the lottery? Praying that someone will stay alive when they are very sick? Atheists failed to truly understand, or never really knew the power of prayer and they get angry when it fails to happen. And, they blame and focus their anger at God.

I have prayed for things that never happened, and when I examined my prayer I realized it wasn’t a prayer, but greed or not truly from the heart. Keep-in-mind that God works in His own time and not ours, so prayers aren’t instantly given.

Prayers are usually answered but in ways we wouldn’t expect. When someone dies that we pray will live, it effects others and not just ourselves. Our selfishness causes us not to think about others who have been touched by that person. Keep in mind that death just doesn’t affect us personally, it affects everyone that person knew. There are many verses explaining prayer and how to do it in faith. Here are a few: Matthew 6:6, Matthew 21:22, Psalm 145:18, James 1:6 “But ask in faith… , James 4:3 “You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly…”

I think there are many Christians who need to learn these phrases as well.

Name Calling Binges

If you try to defend your Christian feelings or beliefs, atheists get mean and nasty, and that’s when the name calling starts. I know. I experienced it when just trying to explain my faith. You need to keep in mind that many atheists have no idea of what faith means, and if they had it, it surely wasn’t strong enough for them to surpass any problems or issues they encountered. Faith is what keeps Christians, not fear as atheists think or like to remark keeps us in our faith and religion. This is just another “bait” tactic they love to use.

The Major Scientific Proof Claim

Why proof? Because atheists believe their own “proof” knowing scientific proof of God is not possible. When a Christian tries to defend God they berate you for proof or scientific evidence. The biggest issue they have if for Christians to convince them God is real.

Atheists also want “Immediate Gratification” that God exists… scientifically only. Of course, they also know it is not possible. But, here is where I have thought ‘gratification” that out further. I have to wonder, if they don’t believe or care about God or the Bible, why all the questions?

The Hypocrisy DE-Bait Claim

Atheists won’t allow the use of the Bible or any historical data- just science to prove God exists. If you say look around they will tell you it’s not proof. When they write “what about all the other Gods throughout history you can quote Bible verses that explain “…there will be other gods” in Exodus 23:13 and Deuteronomy 6:14. Even though the Bible expressly speaks about other gods being created in the minds of different races, once again… not proof.

Anytime you make a statement about God, they call it a “Claim.” Once you make the claim several atheists will pile on to berate or attempt to make you prove it, and if you can’t they will name call because that’s all they know. They claim they are smarter, but reading their words only proves just the opposite. Surprisingly, I even read where several atheists were challenging each other and name calling them!

Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
1 Peter 3:8

Atheists love to write “This is a debate (it should be De-bait) group.” But if you ask a question about “prove God doesn’t exist all you will get is “We or I didn’t claim it.” A double standard hypocritical comment. I asked a similar question and all I got was the sound of crickets (no comments or remarks). If you decide to converse in these groups you should understand what to expect – arrogance, belligerence and berating not debate. However, as a Christian, you should be understanding and compassionate, and know even then you will most likely be called names.

My suggestion? Stay out of these DE-“bait” trap groups. Atheists don’t care about any proof, so don’t waste your time thinking you will “save” them because you won’t. Many already know about the Bible, so if they want to be saved they can do it themselves or come to our website https://ourdividedworld.com and we can help.

Besides, have you ever seen any Atheists Needing Christians Help” groups? Nope and you never will. The Bible tells us to stay away from those who would cause us grief in Romans 14:15-21.

So-Called Caring Atheists

I also understand that atheists claim that they are nice and caring people, but when you read some of the posts you get the true picture of angry and at times hateful people. Forget the title of atheists, just title them “Angry at God and Christians” for still believing what they stopped believing because their faith was too weak.

Atheism equals weakness in faith being a Christian in the past. This is a fact with many I have communicated with. They have said they left because of family, comments and other peoples influence. Strong faith (atheists feel is being fearful) keeps you strong in your Christian belief.

Nothing After Death For Atheists

I was recently told there is nothing after death by an atheist. Not surprised by the comment, I asked “Prove there is nothing after death.” Atheists like to use the “Prove it” card when responding to Christians, but don’t like it when it is reversed and some get angry and belligerent with their responses.

All I received was the my comment repeated. No answer. Why? Because no one can answer that question. Anything after death is not provable by any method. Movies make you think that and others will claim it with no actual proof.

I have been called many names in atheist groups, had several posts removed and was asked not to return. Of course, I will return because I know who they are and what to expect. Why were the posts deleted? Don’t know since they were not derogatory, but I guess asking atheists about Christians or being a past Christian is frowned upon.

And, personally, I don’t think they like being challenged regarding atheism.

Life After Death

As Christians we know what happens after death through our hope in Christ Jesus. We don’t need proof or validation because our faith gives us the reason to not be afraid. This also reminds me of another atheist comment about “Why do Christians like being afraid of God?’ This indicated to me that they were told that at one time in their lives and accepted it, but Christians are not afraid of death, hell or anything because we have Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit with us everyday.

Bible Expert Claims

They also like using the “I’ve read the Bible from front to back and there is nothing provable or scientific.” But when you read many verses of the Bible you will find scientific references before many were even discovered. Of course, atheists claim it is not comparable and immediately dismiss it. Perhaps they know its correct but only refuse to see it because, again, they are angry at God and don’t really want to know the truth.

The Christians Role

You may not agree with what they write, but you, as a Christian, have no right to be mean or nasty or judge them to hell. Oh, yes, many Christians do that in these groups, and perhaps they were told in person, so they moved away from religion.

The Bible tells us to love everyone. We don’t have to agree with their thoughts or comments, but love them anyway. It also tells us to stay away from those who cause us problems or trouble as in Romans 14:15-21.

In Almost Conclusion

I have to write that I have figured out the only reason for the atheist vs Christian group is to get Christians to do what atheists did because of their weak faith or belief. Leave their faith.

Nothing can convince atheists of the Bible’s truth. Any scientific claims about the Bible’s authenticity will be said to be discovered by a Christian, so it is not valid. Proving miracles is just something they say the mind caused. Not even if the Lord appeared. They would call if fake or AI induced, but true Christians will know when He comes.

A Further Note: I already informed many atheists I was going to write about their interaction with me, so I am expecting a lot of negative comments and name calling. But it is very easy to confirm what I wrote just by “only visiting” the atheist vs Christian group and read the comments and their interaction with Christians.

Christians, remember, that only the Lord can, and one day will judge atheists and Christians alike. Matthew 7:1.

A few helpful
Some reasonable
More defensive
Lots more angry
Many hateful
Reading through lots of posts and commenting on many exposed this true nature of atheists who claim they are smarter and better than Christians. YOU DECIDE.
