The Heavenly Battle Between Satan & God

The Heavenly Battle Between Satan & God rages on invisible to our eyes.

I was recently asked the question “Why is there just not good in the world?”

This question makes you think and made me think about it again. If God wants everyone to be good than why didn’t he eliminate evil?

Those questions goes back to Genesis in the Bible. Evil, you might think, started with Adam and Eve. Well, that’s partially true. You have to go back even before that with the angel named Lucifer ( “light-bringing, morning star, day star, shining one”). Do you remember the snake in the Garden of Eden? Later bible verses indicate that it was in fact Satan who wanted to overthrow God’s will of good. And once the apple was eaten by Adam & Eve due to Satan convincing hem to reject God’s word; sin fell into the world. The heavenly battle between Satan & God has begun.

Satan-Fallen

There is a lot to be said about him, but suffice it to say that his own beauty fooled him into being a proud angel. That made him feel he could do as he pleased and was more superior to anyone else, and he organized other angels into trying to take over God’s throne in a heavenly battle. It’s when we become prideful that we fall into evils grip but we can get out of it with God’s help.

Without getting to confusing, it is about a heavenly battle between God and Satan (meaning ‘adversary’), whose name was changed from Lucifer after he fell from God’s grace. This war has been raging for centuries and has been brought down to earth. Satan wants to overthrow God so he keeps devising plans to make more and more evil on the earth.

Presently he is succeeding, but will things ever turn around. I have no idea.

And then another question came up, “Why doesn’t God just get rid of him? That answer is simple. Just as us, God loves all his creations. For example, a Mother has two sons, one good and the other evil. The evil one kills someone, and the Mother (not in all cases, but most) will say I love him anyway. And, the Mother (also in most cases) will not kill her own son.

1 Peter 5:8 “Be alert and sober of mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

This is exactly the way God works. He loves everyone (it’s in the Bible) that He has created, and Satan is one of His many creations. But as with us all, we have a day of judgement and Satan will also have his, and according to the Bible it will not be the worst possible judgement available.

God gave us free-will to do good or evil. So, what does Satan have to do with free-will you’re wondering?

James 4:7 “Submit yourself, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Satan has been trying to destroy God’s plan of salvation for us, and he has attempted to do this many times throughout Biblical history. He tempted Jesus, misled the Hebrews, started wars and was even proud of himself when Jesus was crucified. But that proud attitude was short lived when Jesus was resurrected from death.

Proverbs-3-6
Resurrected

Jude 1:6 “And the angels who did not keep their position of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling – These He has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgement on the great Day.”

Now Satan had to focus on everyone else. Look around today and tell me you don’t feel evil closing in on all sides? The more people gravitate towards evil the more Satan keeps his will of destruction to the human race.

Satan’s plan to destroy what God loves is coming to fruition. We have hate, anger, bullying, killing taking over the world. Free-will is slowly evaporating from our lives; not by God; but by others wanting control. Religion is becoming a battleground for atheists and bullies that will fight to be sure it fades away as much as possible.

So, my advice to the question is to stay in faith no matter what. Keep your belief strong under all conditions and don’t let evil get even a slight hold of you. And if it does happen, seek God for help because He will never leave you alone.

Sad But True
Unfortunately, many homes, yes even so-called Christian homes, are like the one in which the little girl pointed to the Bible on the mantle that was never opened, and said to her mother, “Whose book is that?” Her mother quite startled by her daughters question replied, “Why honey, don’t you know? That is God’s book!” The child demonstrating that she had a very practical turn to her mind said, “Don’t you think that we had better give it back to him? No one around here ever reads it.” Find More Christian Jokes Here
