Did You Turn Your Back On Religion?

Did You Turn Your Back On Religion?

Here’s WHY you might have…and how to CHANGE back.

1. None Of My Questions About The Holy Bible Were Answer By Preachers Or Clergy.

Simple response. They don’t know the answers. Don’t always assume they know everything about the Holy Bible because of seminary school. My suggestion is to ask another preacher/clergy or look up the answer in the Bible itself. You can also check with other Christians who may know the answer.

2. The Old Testament Preachers Hate, And Jesus Replaced Old Testament Teachings.

Wow. You certainly know nothing about the Holy Bible. The old testament is the Hebrew Torah and it teaches the ways of what the Jews did and dealt with for many centuries. Also, Jesus did not replace the old with the new testament because it didn’t even exist at His time on earth. His reason for being here was to stop our immediate death sentence, and for Him to die for our sins instead. And He also taught us how to live our lives more righteously and according to God’s law of the 10 Commandments.

Leaving Religion

3. Fear Mongering…”Sinners Are Doomed For Hell.”

This is pure nonsense in the sense that EVERYONE has a chance for salvation by repenting and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Ignore the ignorant and confused Bible spouting people who probably never or hardly ever read the Holy Bible. They also lack compassion, and the ways of Jesus to help those who are lost to sin, not by preaching but by being understanding and guiding them in the way of the Holy Bible.

4. It Is Controlling Religion To Manipulate And Bully.

Since the word “religion” was mentioned it could refer to one of the many religions throughout the world. But for this remark we will keep it in Christian religion. Unfortunately, this is true for many churches and parishioners. Sadly, some have changed by believing they are better than others. Catholics think they are better than Protestant and so on.

This is why there have been so many of the larger religious groups breaking into smaller groups. Why? Sorry to say, that it has to do with pride and money. The 2 biggest things Jesus Christ spoke about and the scriptures testify about. So, the bottom line is that the Holy Bible does NOT FORCE YOU to change or convert, and it never mentions religion. If you are feeling bullied, you should find another church or group of Christian friends.

5. Being Good To Avoid Punishment.

Well, the Holy Bible does not dictate to you. God gave you free will to do as you please. Are there consequences for not being good. Yep. Jails and prisons are full of bad people who made free will bad choices. Keep in mind that sin (and Satan) have a way of convincing you that you are forced to be good. But, as mentioned, it is still a choice. Also, if not receiving salvation is mentioned to you if you continue sinning, than that is correct according to the Holy Bible.

So, you can believe to be bad and do bad things or be good and do good things. Do you really need to be forced into that decision? Still not sure? The Holy Bible tells us that sinners can repent and still have salvation. In the end, it’s still a decision you have to make.

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:8

6. Religion Is A Man-Made Set Of Rules Based On Power And Control.

Whose rules and whose control? Assuming this is about the church, and unfortunately it is true. The church has always assumed power throughout the ages and even today. But the power and control has changed to mostly control. The church needs to control what is preached, keep the people coming back, and to be sure they get the money (tithing) they need to keep the church open. Yes, this is religion, but it is not the Holy Bible. Religion is NOT part of the Bible or faith. The Bible explains how to live a better and more righteous life and the faith has to do with Jesus Christ and your belief. Stop confusing religion with the Holy Bible.

7. Inaction. God Does Not Stop Evil.

And why would He? He gave us free-will to know good and evil. There is no excuse for not knowing the difference. Everyone talks about good and evil deeds. It’s in the news daily. God wants us to know the difference, and to act on it by helping those who continue to sin. Of curse, there are many that love sinning and will continue to do so. But there are those who do their best to stop sinning and they will have a much better life. Do you really think that God is not acting against His sinning children? Look around.

8. Hypocrisy In The Church And Christians.

This is absolutely true, and as with many things, people become so stuck on them they don’t realize that they are being hypocritical, and church goers are the biggest part of that group. Why? Because they feel entitled when it comes to church and attending church. It gives them a badge for being a Christian, even though they go home and gamble, lie, cheat, steal, gossip and the bunch of others sins they probably commit during the week. We all are sinners, but when it comes to being a hypocrite they need to look at themselves first.

9. Sunday Mornings.

This one is a really poor excuse for not going to church. Obviously, not being a person of faith or belief you need an excuse and Sunday morning was used. There are churches that have Saturday services, or if you really want, you could even attend a later Sunday service. Or, just stay home because you don’t care about going anyway. Stop making excuses to make yourself seem like a faithful Christian. FYI: The biblical sabbath actually is on Saturday, according to the Holy Bible. God rested on the seventh day, which is Saturday. In our calendars Sunday is the first day of the week even though we use it as part of the weekend.

Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
John 20:21

10. Asking For 10% Of Income.

This on is really annoying. Not the comment but with the churches. Here is where “control” comes into play. Churches used the Holy Bible tithing in the wrong way by making you believe God will be angry if you don’t give 10% to the church. The 10% tithing in the Bible refers to the storehouse that held food for the poor. See: Deuteronomy 14:22-29. Also, Jesus was overwhelmed when a poor widow put her only two coins into the into the treasury – Mark 12:41-44.

So, how could the church decide that everyone should give 10%, when Jesus didn’t tell her or anyone else to give any specific amount. The suggestion is to give what you can, and if that is not good enough for the church, leave it and find another. Besides the idea of tithing is to give directly to the poor in the way of neighbors, food banks and shelters.

11. Control The Masses.

Wow, that would really be amazing if it were even possible. Imagine if that kind of controlling really worked. There would be no sin anywhere. Of course, that also eliminates the concept of free-will that God has given all of us, whether we use it or not. With the estimated 3.5 billion Christians, that is really mass hypnosis to control all of them. And, why are the others not being controlled? The others meaning the non-believers or atheists or skeptics? The phrase “controlling the masses” is used by those who really don’t want to go to church or even believe the Holy Bible. Again, another excuse, with no actual or physical proof of mass or hypnotic controlling.

12. Modern Irrelevance.

This is the same as saying that manual is old and outdated. It might well be, but if the item is still being used the manual is very important. The Holy Bible, even though it was written thousands of years ago, speaks about the history of the Jews and how everyone (Jew and Gentile) can live a better life.

Proverbs gives a lot of information about how to avoid sin, while Psalms has a lot of prayers for times of trouble and need and James makes it easy to live a righteous life if one desires. Modern irrelevance should also be applied to goodness and sin. Are they irrelevant? No. They are part of life now as they were centuries ago. There is nothing in the Holy Bible that is irrelevant, other than the acceptance that sin should continue, and the world should happily accept sinners and liars.

This may not apply to you but maybe a friend or acquaintance. Let them know so they are not confused or lost by the unfounded comments of others about the Bible.” H John

Blessings to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
